Einbecker, Germany has been brewing bock beer since the 1300’s. Copper to brown in color with a fairly high alcohol content(6-8%). Variations in the bock style include Helles bock(pale), Mai bock(springtime pale amber), Dopplebock(stronger with an abv of 8% or better), and Eisbock, which is made by freezing dopplebock and removing the ice.  Eisbocks weigh in at hefty 10 to 14%abv.
